Sleeping on vacation?!?

So this past weekend me, my sister, mom and the kids took a trip to see my other sister in Louisiana. We had a great time but nap and bed time proved to be difficult with two, two year olds. One would be easy but the other would wake cry and wake him/her up. So every night it was a difficult trip lol. I ended up using the tula to put her to sleep everynight. Which ended up being a really good because it allowed my nephew to be alseep by the time i brought in a second sleeping baby.
When you are in Louisiana you definitely need to go to a parade. We went to the spanish town parade and had a blast. Most have a childrens section which is where we were. The babies had a blast getting beads and stuffed animals. Riley even got to dance in the parade. She loved it. We got asked about our carrier because it made it easy to walk through the crowds where a stroller was a bit difficult.

After a great weekend it was time for the 8 hour drive back home.   It was a great time but definitely time to start flying the drive was hard on the babies who both have night time coughs.

Keeping things clean?

So this post takes a left turn at the end. But most of my writing i dont plan, i write my feelings and I write whats in my head. Its why im writing a romance book. They speak to me(maybe im a little crazy!!)

So everyone knows keeping a room, let alone a house clean with a toddler is virtually impossible. I have been trying everything to try to organize the toys.  Riley has so many toys that we are so running out of space. We use most of my thirty one inventory to hold toys but we also use ikea products and any storage tub we find. What are your storage ideas??

With Riley being two we have decided she will start helping with some chores. She puts away her toys with me. She sweeps with her mini broom, and she feeds the dogs there breakfast and dinner. She lives to help. Im thinking of making a chore chart but i dont think she would understand it yet.  Life is always eventfull with the crazyness but when you get the chance to watch how fast they pick everything up and learn, it is truly amazing. But sometimes frusterating. As I sit in my daughters room and wait for her to fall asleep fighting me the whole time, I try to remember she is only 2. She is just now starting tongo to bed alone in her own bed and it times me easier not to be so frusterated when she askes tongo potty 8 times, or for every stuffed animal in her box. and even when she gets out of bed every 5 minutes and standa infront of me till I lay her back down.  I remember she kissed my booboos today and made me play breakfast at her table. She saw her cousin and ran across the house to give him a hug. She remembered to share her toys and his cup. And she didnt want him to sit in timeout alone so she did what he did so she would have to go with him.

So the house gets dirty, so i get frusterated with bedtimes and tempertantrums. Im raising a thoughtful, sweet and just a little bit sassy little girl. I am raising a smart, helpful, loud little girl. Who loves with everything she has. Who teaches me new things everyday. So i will take my dirty house that i only get to clean every other day(maybe). I would rather play.

Back!

It has been a while since i got to post, but im back!! I have had a sick toddler, then I was sick, and between that and holidays and birthdays it has been a crazy two month.

It is time to start a new year, with some changes. Not your normal get skinny or eat healthy changes. I am very negative about things that have to do with myself. I pick at little things on my looks, and put down things when it comes to me making things or my writing. This year is going to be a positive year!! A year filled with yes and with telling myself and others how beautiful they are inside and out!!

I have written 700,000 words this year in my book, which is something i am very proud of. Before i would have said thats nothing, its what some authors write in a day. But i am proud of that, do these other authors have a 2 year old who is attached to them almost 24/7. Because i do, some days i have nap time to write and others i dont, but i am doing my best.

Ok, so now to talk about this crazy 2 year old!! She has started saying her numbers more and is very into everything my little pony and pj masks!! We spend our days counting ponies and blocks and attempting to climb mommy like a jungle gym. Which is what is happening as im writing this. We have been moving her into her own bed, which is where she is for most of the night before coming to our bed. So I think its going pretty well! We also have hit a point where she will take 5 bites of food and then say she doesnt like it! If anyone has any tips on how to get her to eat please leave me a comment on how below!!

And lastly we have had a bad month with our dog bella. She had torn one of her acl's a few years ago. Then this year she went and did the other one. It has been a long long road to recovery. She had gotten to a good point and she felt better and tried to run because it felt better. Well now she is back at the start and is spending her days in a little pen so she doesnt run again. Its very hard because shes starting to feel better and wants to play. Any tips to keep a dog calm when they wanna play?

Thanks for reading and follow and let me know what you would like to read about. Im still making a list of all the things moms or anyone would like to read! 😃
